Attendance at class every Wednesday (4:00-5:30pm) with cooperative, respectful behavior.
Mass attendance on Sundays and holy days of obligation: Bring the previous Sunday’s bulletin signed or stamped by the priest at Mass to every class.
Satisfactory grades on the weekly quiz.
A 2-page double-spaced report on the saint whose name you have chosen for your Confirmation name (due October 31).
25 hours of community service during the year.
Attendance at the Confirmation retreat (February 22-24) is absolutely OBLIGATORY.
Attendance at Confirmation rehearsal (May 15, 6pm) with a sponsor.
Absences
The maximum of absences is 3. If you are unable to attend class, your parent must call the religious education office at (914) 969-3813 or write a note ahead of time.
Arrival more than 20 minutes late to class counts as ½ absence.
To Think About
Mass and class attendance is taken very seriously. Failure to attend Mass and/or classes without adequate reason will result in expulsion from the program.
One of your parents should arrive at 5pm on September 26 for an explanation of these requirements and other details. Class will end at 5:30pm as usual.
During the course of the year, you will need to choose:
The name of a saint to be your Confirmation name.
A confirmed, active, upstanding Catholic who can be your sponsor.
The Confirmation ceremony with Bishop Gerald Walsh will be Sunday, May 26 at 3pm.
